Copyright issues are hard to understand. When you find a picture from google images or another website, you must cite it in your work. When you use a picture from your camera, you do not have to site it. The copyright symbol is a C with a circle around it. If there is a C in the work you are using then you have to say that you are using it. Depending on how you are using the image in your work, then you might need to ask permission. As a student, you have certain ways of using images for a use related to your paper or work. As a student, for most in class projects, you do not have to ask permission to use the image. When you work for a company, then if you use the image in a presentation you need to ask permission to use it if it has a copyright symbol on it.
I hope this allows you to understand copyright laws better.

Web 2.0 for cs1300
Web 2.o is the new world wide web. It allows for more social interaction between people. websites such as: Facebook, Myspace, Youtube and others are creating a social atmosphere where it becomes easier to express yourself. This social interaction lets people communicate between themselves from all over the world. The article I read "The Right Way to Use Web 2.0" by David Gumpert talked about how businesses can enter in to this social interaction and use it to help find customers and sell their products to them. There are three tips:define business goals, use old marketing techniques, and go beyond the conversation. For a business, to enter this social experiment is complicated. The customers might not want to interact socially with a business or the businessmen that are selling the product feel awkward selling the product on the same social site that they use after work. These problems make businesses struggle to keep up in Web 2.0 but "Web 2.0 is a massive social experiment, and like any experiment worth trying, it could fail" (Lev Grossman). Businesses should keep experimenting and do their best to succeed in this new World Wide Web, Web 2.0.

Microsoft Word Experience for cs1300
Well, my experience with word 2003 was good. I knew most of what to do in the program and now with word 2007, everything is different. The format is different and the items are moved around. Once I figure out where the tools have changed to, I will be able to use microsoft word better than before.
